As we approach Independence Day once again this year, I am glad to say that I am thankful to be an American.  I am thankful for the freedoms we enjoy in our blessed country concerning our worship, speech, and press.  I am thankful that I can still live for the Lord, rear my family according to His Word, and preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, I know that there is a lot wrong with our land of the free and home of the brave, but I still believe it is the best country in all of the world.  We do not have to seek to keep our citizens here, but we have to limit those who do come here.  People in almost all the world would love to live in our blessed land.  We need to uphold our land in prayer, be proud of her, and be loyal to her.

Are you praying that America would once again experience a great nationwide revival that will turn us back to God?  We have known the presence and power of God in days gone by through His stirring of His people and the salvation of lost souls.  I believe God can still do the same once again in 2017.  Will you join me in praying for God to begin with each of us individually, our homes, and our church?

We have designated July 23 as “God and Country Sunday.”  It will be our privilege to have with us The Pulpit Echoes, three pastors who sing as a trio, and Dr. Chuck Harding, the founder of Awake America.  The trio will be singing and Dr. Harding will preach in our 9:30 and 10:30AM services and our 6:00PM service. Plan to be here yourself, pray for those special services, and please invite others to be with you on “God and Country Sunday,”  July 23.

See you Sunday!
