A.W. Tozer said, “What comes into our mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” I believe that it is safe to say we WORSHIP what we LIVE for. When God created us, He built in us an innate desire to worship. The real question is who or what are we worshiping? The problem is that many of us end up worshiping the creation rather than the Creator Himself. But the true purpose of worship is so that you and I can fulfill our purpose in life. We were specifically created to worship the Lord. He created us so that we can live for Him and enjoy Him forever.

Psalm 113:3 states: “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised.” If you are not living a lifestyle of worship, then you are missing the whole purpose of your existence. I understand that may sound like a broad and far-fetched statement, but it really is the truth. The beautiful thing is that even though God should be the object of our praise and worship, somehow He takes our worship and turns it into a blessing for us. Although the PURPOSE of our worship is to bless and honor the Lord, the result of that worship is that He, in turn, blesses us. Isn’t it amazing how the Lord works! Worship the Giver of life today with all that you have!
